It was a great first visit. I’ve had a new dentist almost every visit for the past 2.5 years, mostly due to moving and wanting to find a convenient and close location and it being the right fit. The dental hygienist was very nice, gentle, and thorough. I’ve never had anyone explain to me how they determine gum health, I really appreciated her explaining this to me. Dr. Michael Chan was also good and provided explanations. I highly recommend them to anyone in search of a new dentist. I’ve never written a review for a dental office before, but this was worth letting others know about. They are also very fair with insurance billing compared to other practices I’ve had experiences with. They take high precautions for COVID-19 and are thorough in their screening and checks. Thank you for a great first experience here.
All I can say is thank you Dr. Chan! I recently moved to Newark and needed a new dentist. My first visit for cleaning went great, better than my last dentist. The BIG thank you is for this past Memorial Day weekend. I broke my front tooth veneer off eating pizza, on my birthday! I was up in Sacramento and of the 20 plus dentists I called, none picked up or were working. I figured ok guess I need to wait to Tuesday, this is Sunday Memorial Day weekend, I call Balentine leave a message. Dr. Chan calls me back shortly after and says come in Monday I’ll fix you right up. Remember this is Memorial Day Monday! In and out 35 minutes perfect execution of dentistry. Dr Chan, thank you!!!

I found this place last year when I moved to Bay Area, at that time I was living in Fremont. I actually moved away from Fremont to San Jose, but I keep coming back to Balentine Plaza Dental Care even though it means a few extra minutes driving, but the experiences and care are totally worth it!
